Associate Barrister

Stefanie is an associate at Carnegie Law Chambers and a tenant at Imperium Chambers.

Family Law

Prior to being called to the Bar, Stefanie gained significant hands-on experience in the Family Courts as a McKenzie Friend. She assisted clients from initial hearings through to permission to appeal applications, working across a broad spectrum of private family law matters. Her experience includes:

  • Child arrangement proceedings

  • Applications under the Family Law Act 1996

  • International relocation disputes

  • Child abduction cases

Stefanie specialises in private children law applications, guiding clients through every stage—from directions hearings to fact-finding and final hearings. She is highly regarded for her persuasive advocacy and her compassionate, client-focused approach, ensuring those she represents feel both supported and empowered throughout the legal journey.

Stefanie accepts instructions in all areas of family law, including Children Act applications, domestic abuse matters, and financial remedies following separation or divorce.

Immigration Law

Stefanie has developed wide-ranging expertise in immigration law and regularly appears in the First-tier and Upper Tribunals. Her practice includes Immigration, asylum and human rights appeals and Judicial Review proceedings.

In addition to representing appellants, Stefanie has also appeared in the First-tier Tribunal on behalf of the Home Office providing her with valuable insights into the Home Office’s case strategy and litigation approach.

Civil Law

Stefanie began her legal career as a court advocate, where she was instructed in over 500 hearings across a wide range of civil matters. She appeared in small claims trials, interim applications, and final hearings, quickly building substantial courtroom experience. Her civil work has included:

  • Landlord and tenant disputes

  • HMO licensing issues

  • Road traffic and personal injury claims

  • Flight delay and credit hire matters

  • Consumer rights and debt recovery

  • Bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings

She continues to apply this strong foundation to her civil practice at the Bar, offering practical, solution-oriented representation.

Direct Access

Stefanie is licensed to accept instructions directly from members of the public under the Public Access Scheme, allowing clients to engage her services without going through a solicitor.
